Ministries

At Crossroads Wesleyan Church we believe in using our spiritual gifts. Ministries such as Parent's Night Out, Flag Football, Praise Team, Firemen Appreciation Banquet, SONShine Gardens and the Transportation Ministry are just a few ways to use our gifts and reach out to people in southwest Nebraska.

Parent's Night Out offers free childcare by reservation for anyone in the community the first Friday of each month September through May. Throughout the evening the kids eat supper, participate in games, crafts, and just plain fun. While this time is great for the kids (some of them call it "Kid's Night Out.") the real benefit is for mom and dad to just enjoy each other for four hours.

Flag Football is offered to 3-6 graders September through October. They practice on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and play games on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. The church has its own football field located north of the church building at 1710 Wesley Drive.
The Praise Team includes instrumentalists and vocalists. Anyone wanting to sing or pull their instrument out of the attic and join them is encouraged to join them. The Praise Team does not "put on performances." They are talented musicians who God uses to lead the congregation in worship.
The Firemen Appreciation Banquet is one way to honor those who are willing to put their own lives on the line to help others. The annual Firemen Appreciation Banquet is held in October. All City Police, County Sheriff & Deputies, EMT's and Volunteer Firemen from Chase County are invited to share in this event.
SONShine Gardens A staffed Nursery & SONShine Gardens is available during each worship service for children newborn to 4th graders. This time includes lots of singing, games and a plan to earn points to spend at the Children's Store. They work hard to earn points by attendance, bringing their bibles, bringing visitors, learning bible verses, good behavior and more. The Children's Store is "open for business" the first Sunday of each month.
Anyone needing a ride to church will get one because of the Transportation Ministry. We know how important each rider is, so we work hard to provide capable and safe drivers and bus supervisors. There is a bus or vans available. Click here if you would like to sign up for a ride to church.
